EDUCATION IN INDONESIA

Any concept of education ?
According UNICEF, education is a fundamental human right. Every child is entitled to it. It is critical to our development as individual and as societies, and it helps pave the way to a successful and productive future. When we ensure that children have access to a rights-based, quality education that is rooted in gender equality, we create a ripple effect of opportunity that impacts generations to come.
In addition, according my group, education is a basic process learning which purpose a better future. Then my group will be exploring what is the reality of education in Indonesia.
How the state of education in Indonesia reality:
1.Lack of facilities and infrastructure that support;
2.The high cost of education;
3.A curriculum that is always changing;
4.Community perspective assumes that education is less important;
5.There are still many remote/isolated areas;
6.Lack of competence of teachers;
7.Lack of maximum utilization of education budget.
These realities hamper education in Indonesia. The people involved in education try to minimize these obstacles by:
1.BOS funding by the government for improvement of school facilities and infrastructure;
2.Providing scholarships for high achieving students and less able to;
3.Change the paradigm that the curriculum is not changing but developed in accordance with the times;
4.Connect the communication among/between the governmental centers with remote areas;
5.Government conducted training to improve the quality and competence of teachers;
6.Increase the budget for teachers to improve the quality and competence of teachers;
7.Transparency of the education budget.
Trying to minimize the obstacles are the efforts of various parties, teachers, government, and society, as an educator was willing to be educated in Indonesia changed for the better. Therefore, an educator is expected to continue to learn and take the learning from the students.
The government also must come to support the educational process educated in accordance with the National Education Law No. 20 of 2003 article 1, Education is a conscious and deliberate effort to create an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that learners are actively developing the potential for him to have the spiritual strength of religious, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed themselves, society, nation and state.
